Good location and fair price, but also no more...

An okay breakfast, with more choice than we expected. But it could certainly be better We arrive at the hotel, where we are greeted by a very uninteresting man... we get our key and end up with a room right down in the basement... from our window you can see straight into a small yard where everyone from other rooms can look right down to us… so no private life… The signal to the internet and TV was very poor as we were so far down and we almost had to stand on the windowsill with the mobile to be able to access the internet. And then the room is super quiet and the cleaning staff had a storage room right next to it so we were woken up early in the morning Mega uninteresting people when you arrive and generally when you ask about something.

The Wi-Fi would kick you off after a minute or two if you didn’t stay active, so you have to keep signing back in. It worked fine when signed in.

The shower is right in the room, not together with the toilet. We can’t open the window, outside are street workers really loud and the smell of the new tar is in the room. No air condition

Do not bother. This was the worst room (rooms actually) we have ever seen ! We always stay in Sussex Garden but often try different hotels on special offer.We booked a DOUBLE room. I even confirmed the double bed via email after the booking - and it was confirmed (sadly l didn’t keep a copy of this email & this was a big mistake on my part). When we arrived we were given the oldest worn, terrible room you could imagine with 2 single beds.After several phone calls to the manager (by the receptionist) it was clear they didn’t have any other rooms. Only when we absolutely refused to go back to the twin room, and more phone calls were e we able to get an “upgrade” which cost us a fair bit of cash, but was a double bed.This room was equally as bad, but after traveling almost 2O hours, we couldn’t fight anymore.The headboard was worn bare, the windows open with such force, it jerked my arm !!! Since when have top floor windows been allowed to open all the way ? Health and Safety breach.The room was so dated and not at all like advertised. The toilet roll holder has fallen off the wall, the glass shelf was broken, the chap in the room next door taking in his phone, sounded like he was sat on the bottom of our bed !!! To say the walls are paper thin is no exaggeration !!!! Passable. But not possible to clean the torn/cracked material all over the headboard Staff were not at all friendly or helpful.
