Hotel was in great position. We walked everywhere so was a good central point to get around the city. 20mins walk from King's Cross. Rooms spacious and clean.

Beds could do with updating. Breakfast was nice and choice of cereals, hot food, croissants, fruit and yoghurt and toast. Would recommend a coffee and tea machine, as both mornings we had to find staff to ask for coffee cups to be filled. Staff walk around with coffee jugs but we were missed both mornings. On leaving hotel, we left cases for the afternoon. We were charged £1.00, this is usually this service is free in hotels. Concierge service was good though, no problems.

The location was perfect, near the Russel Square underground station - from which you could reach any part of London. The breakfast was quite delicious, and the service at the dining room was commendable. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was pretty adequate.

A very poor internet connection (not sure whether it's because we got a room at the last floor). An unintuitive setting of the faucets in the bathroom - one for hot water only, and the other for cold water only, with no option to get a tolerable temperature. There were no electrical sockets near the beds - the only sockets present were at the common desk, which was located near one of the beds. An uncomfortable distribution of soap - using tiny bottles (had a case when room service confused the body soap bottle with the shampoo bottle). Room service unheeding towards the sign: "Do not disturb". Barging into the room without paying attention the sign (experienced it twice during my 1 week stay).

The location was great and the room was well presented and clean.

The mattress was in need of replacement, it was very hard and the springs were pushing up. It was not made clear that I would have to go down and collect room service from the lobby, I could have just as easily used another food ordering website and had it delivered if it's not going to be delivered to the door! The decaffeinated coffee at breakfast was instant coffee and it was nescafe, also the orange juice was watered down and the only fruit was a compote for the yoghurt.

Great location for easy access to Central London attractions. Russell Square tube station two minutes walk from the hotel. Our room had a window overlooking Russell Square and the triple double glazing made the room very quiet. Breakfast was good and we ate in the restaurant one evening and it was very good quality and value for money. Reception staff very friendly. Main areas and room were spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was ok, but tea and coffee always appeared stewed. The bread for toast was of a very unusual consistency and the fruit juice was a watered down concentrate. Minor issues perhaps, but key parts of a breakfast for us.

Najbardziej podobała mi sie lokalizacja. Można powiedzieć w samym centru. Bezpośrednia linia metra na lotnisko. Obsługa bardzo pomocna . Czystość bez zarzutu. Jedynie śniadania mogłyby mieć troszkę wyższy standard. Mam na myśli pieczywo i miękkie sery. Ale to co jest nadal można najeść się.

Location is perfect for central London. Cleanliness was outstanding, all the public areas as well as the room were spotless. Bedlinens were very nice. Breakfast was good, nice range of food.

The bed was hard as a rock. We had a very noisy neighbour who talked throughout the night. In hindsight, we should have complained. The waiting staff at breakfast were efficient, but not terribly friendly.

Everything,breakfast great choice,afternoon teas good,staff helpful,hotel central with fair priced safe underground parking a bonus to leave your car there with London parking fees and finding a place to park that are limited hours,easy to walk anywhere in central London,we have stayed there many times always been happy there over the years,we visit London a great deal over last 20 years and stayed at higher star 4/5 Mark up hotels but many do not match the President and once we found it,we have never been to another hotel,our room looks over to the large Park and is quite as you close to the main road,so ifyou looking for a central good value,comfortable with very clean rooms and linen and as much as you can eat breakfasts with friendly staff etc etc and good value for central London,we have not found better and paid a lot more. Great location near Russel sq tube. Walking distance to British Museum, Tottenham court rd and station. I was on 7th floor so quiet. Room and Bathroom clean. Check in staff were great, housekeeping Polite.

The queue or line for breakfast was awful, I went to a cafe close by. The room 715 was cold, radiator was broken I think. I didn’t see radiator until I opened the curtains. Remote control was not working well, could not turn off tv, but I could change channels. I turned it off from the wall!

Excellent location - just round the corner from the tube station and only one stop from Kings Cross. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. We felt well looked after. It was very good value for money - the included breakfast was good.

On the whole we weren't disappointed at all with our stay. Just one thing which would have improved our experience - there were no hooks anywhere in the room. As a consequence, I had to put my dressing gown on the bathroom floor when using the shower and bath. Also, we had to drape our coats and jackets over the chair back. There was no room in the wardrobe for outdoor clothes and a row of hooks near the room door, as experienced in other hotels, would have been really useful. The provision of some hooks would have made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Staff were, without exception, excellent - helpful, polite, friendly and totally efficient. l would say that the room was functional rather than comfortable but it had everything necessary and was immaculately clean.

The wi-fi (or lack of) was the biggest issue. Although the hotel advertises wi-fi everywhere, when you get to your room, you find there`s a choice between standard and fast, for which you pay £5 per day. l thought 4/5mb should be enough, so stayed with the standard. lt worked for my phone most of the time, but wouldn`t even connect my laptop which l needed. 10 mins on the phone to a very pleasant tech guy sorted that out - he upped my speed and got me connected. That worked for that use but, next morning, l was off again. l couldn`t be bothered to keep asking for help, so spent the rest of my trip without the use of my laptop! A pity because there`s so much they get right, but being without reliable wi-fi simply isn`t on these days.

Handy location - we went to see a show in the West End and enjoyed the 15 minute stroll back to the hotel. There are closer hotels of course, but this was by far the best value for money. Recently refurbished, the room was plesant and modern. The shower was so powerful it almost hurt! We arrived 4 hours before the check-in time of 3pm expecting to just drop-off our luggage, but our room was available so we were checked straight in, which was great.

Breakfast was not a pleseant experience. We were bruskly shown to a table which needed clearing, which to their credit they very quickly did. However was not impressed that the stained and sticky tablecloth was not changed. Instead one of the waitors carelessly flicked all of the crumbs off it with a rag, sending them flying all over my husband and I who were waiting close by. Being sat at a dirty table wasn't nice, and left me feeling like not eating. It seemed that speed, rather than good service, was the priority. We didn't complain at the time as I don't like being petty, plus they were busy. But still, it wasn't nice. Also, instead of self-service coffee and tea you have to wait for the waitors to bring around jugs of it. Which just meant there were loads of people wandering around wondering where to get tea from, and it gave the already busy waitors an uneccessary task to do. Sefl service would be better for such a large setting.

The hotel was in a great location, literally 30 seconds from Russel square tube station. Hotel was clean and rooms lovely. Staff helpful and continental breakfast was nice.

Booking said included breakfast showing a picture of a full English but arrived it was a continental breakfast. (Had to keep getting up for coffee as no one brought it over) Staff dropped my friends bag and smashed her candle- they did refund. Overall we would stay again.

Have stayed here once before and the breakfast that time was fine. Felt the breakfast this time was only ok and the tea was the worst I have tasted. The staff in the breakfast room was not overly helpful and almost like herding sheep attitude .Had to change rooms due to strange curry sort of smell which I felt came from the carpets. The staff happily moved us and new room much fresher .

The breakfast room was very untidy ! The tables were not cleared when we arrived in the breakfast room. The continental breakfast ran out pretty quick, we had to wait while nearly everything was replenished. Tea and coffee were in short supply ! The toaster was a right ball ache... the queue was maybe 9 people long ! The staff in the room weren’t very helpful or talkative when asked for things ! For example knives and forks !!! They sort of took it as a snipe at them when I asked for cutlery ! But all in all a lovely stay xxx

Ithe bed mattresses are very hard. Kitchen tables have more flexibility in them. Single beds are narrow so spent a lot of time awake making sure I was not hoping to fall off. Carvery is grim particularly if a vegan diet is sought - eat out.

We had continental breakfast which came with the booking, however this was awful! It felt like we were second class citizens. If you had upgraded to English breakfast at £5.75 you were shown to a table but if you didn’t you were left to fight for a table . There was nothing for us to eat. Both mornings there was no bread for toast or any pastries, all there was were cereal. Considering this is a Hugh hotel this was VERY VERY POOR .

Breakfast needs a complete review, was just pointed towards an area of dirty tables where we sat and waited for someone to set it around us, ended up serving our own tea and coffee as the gentleman serving seemed very focused on about two or three tables else where, told we were only to have continental unless we payed extra for full English which wouldn’t have been an issue had there been any food on the continental breakfast buffet, ask many members of staff to restock but only seemed interested in doing what ever task it was they were allocated for that morning.
