We loved staying outside of the old town but being a five minute walk away. Quieter and convenient Reception staff were polite and friendly and helpful
Wady
It's your average budget hotel in a popular town. But the staff were helpful, breakfast was good and it was great value for money.

Zalety
The hotel on Kolokotroni, near the Afstralias seafront and the backside of the old medieval city is very attractive.Liking the area a lot, I tried to relocate to the Athineum Hotel down the road, but they were fully booked.
Wady
1) There were several floor-levels in a very tiny room, and I actually ended up with a sore knee because of this horrible 'dividing' of floor levels. It was very stressful. 2) Access to the shower niche was blocked by a misplaced hair-dryer. I simply could not get past it and into the niche. 3) Sitting on the toilet was impossible because the sink was in the way. 4) From the closet in the room there was a strong moulded/rotten smell. 5) The room was badly furnished with ugly furniture that merely blocked the guest from getting around in the room. 6) The low step to the tiny balconee (actually just a flat part of the roof structure) is dangerous because of the very high threshhold and a deep step down. The view is nice enough, though. 7) The bed mattress had stains and areas of rot/mould. Pillows smelled of unwashed scalp, but not ones own. Sheets and linen seemed badly washed. 8) The room - 112 - was in a hall where several other rooms were still under rebuilding. For some reason a lot of noise came from these rooms late at night and very early in the morning, probably there was work being done there, and that made a lot of noise. 9) The aircondition did not work, and there was no information available from the staff as to how to make it work. I would gladly have paid for AC, but no one told me anything. The owners seem to be happy to close the front doors at 5 PM and let the guests enter via a door code. The all dark reception area sends an unwelcome and somewhat eerie impression. You pass all these empty rooms under reconstruction/rebuilding. Maybe the hotel was better off not opening before they're actually ready to create a welcoming and open atmosphere?
